The Home Depot Names Matson its Offshore Provider of the Year

Long-time customer, The Home Depot (THD), recently honored Matson with its prestigious Offshore Provider of the Year award.

Steve Lacey, vice president, North American domestic sales, accepted the award at The Home Depot’s Executive Carrier Council meeting in Atlanta, Georgia on January 31, 2024.

Dan Gross, senior director, supply chain, The Home Depot, commented on Matson’s willingness and ability to help create supply chain solutions. Specifically Gross referred to Matson teams in Tacoma and Alaska for handling additional cargo from their consolidation hub in Tacoma. And our Hawaii Teams (Mainland and the Islands) for their tremendous assistance with the opening of their new store in Mapunapuna.

In addition, props were given for Matson’s relief assistance and community support during last year’s Typhoon Mawar in the Marina Islands and the wildfires on Maui.

“I want to thank everyone at Matson for always going above and beyond to ensure that our customers feel they have chosen the right carrier partner that lives up to our mission, ‘To move freight  better than anyone,’” said Lacey.
